Hello, I started the Petition for a database of Marriages and Divorces.  I am finding out that more victims are coming out of the woodwork.

 

It is NOT fun when you are a victim of a con artist, or an illegal seeking citizenship by bogus marriages, or bigamists be they men or women.

 

THIS IS NOT a VICTIMLESS CRIME, and we the victims MUST stand up and say, HEY we are victims, we get taken financially, emotionally, and we are drained because time after time authorities allow these people to get away with breaking the law.

 

We must have a a database of somekind that can allow the over 3,000 counties, among over 50 states, and at least 15 territories to where the clerks can check the already PUBLIC information. It just needs to be in a more cohesive database. Some states have databases, but even then some bigamists did get away with marrying over and over.  See the stories that are on this blog.

 

the WWW.reportillegals.com is a good website, they are trying to stop the tide of illegals marrying and then leaving the bride/groom high and dry after gaining status as a citizen. ICE is cracking down on these kinds of marriages. They scam, and con their way into the country.

 

 

 

Please note, I am not against immigrants coming to this country correctly, and applying for citizenship the right way. I am opposed to illegals

coming into the country and using false identies, and fraudulent social security numbers. I believe that if you want to live in our country please repect our rules.

I had at one time, felt powerless, and was frightened into remaining silence. However, when another victim's sister contacted me, the cocoon of safety that I imagined was there, was not.  I had tricked myself into believing that my nightmare would go away. It did not, the bills he left behind, the mess he left behind the lies I believed....rendered me feeling, stupid, victimized, and chastising myself over and over again.

 

I cannot change what he did to me, but I can change and help someone else NOT be a victim.  Dust yourself off, and continue. Go to the authorities with anything you can: restraining order, go to the banks charge them with fraud, call the DA's the Police, and yes, the news.

 

Sometimes no one listens but with persistence someone does. It only takes a small pebble to make a ripple in a big pond. You may have people continue to threaten you but realize that you can stop them in their tracks. A threat is a threat no matter who makes it. It's a violation of your right to safety.

When I read this, I realized I was such a chump. My vulnerabilities about having a 'soulmate' and someone that truly loved me for who I was, did me in. The one who made me a victim knew this.  He had 30 years to perfect his con! He even conned the judicial system so be aware, you could be made to look less like a victim.

 

I decided that he happened in my life for a reason: that is to help others NOT to be a victim. I have found out that my story isn't rare, it happens to so many others, men and women both. Women can be con artists too. It is not a rarity. Nor is bigamy a rarity.

Don't let the authorities intimidate you, nor do you allow your predator to intimidate you also.  I did feel intimidated, I felt that he would kill me, I still believe that to this day. I realize that he is a pathological liar, and will never change. I do not feel secure.  I have not since he left me in 2001.

 

However, I have some updated news in regards to one of the stories that I had mentioned.

 

It involves a woman bigamist and predator:  Her ex husband now has custody of her children.  I do know one thing that is a common thread among con artists:  THEY WILL ALWAYS BLAME THE VICTIM. Take a stand, and don't give up. The wheels of justice does turn slow, but eventually you can get some form of justice.

The judicial system has failed us once again, in NJ a parolee fled to another state, with a different id, and birth certificate. Granted that is breaking the very law that he was charged with. He did not care.  Luckily someone turned him in and he sits in the Missouri jail in Jefferson County. I hope and pray that his present victim will realize that she or he is and will not be the last one unless she presses charges. I for one am very glad that Barber is in jail.

 

I have a half way relief that justice is finally being served. This man will finally be put in his natural habitat! A prison. He has conned too many people for so long that perhaps his past has finally caught up with him.
