ICE is a government agency that has been cracking down on illegal immigrants who marry U.S. Citizens, and of course those marriages are scams.  What about the U.S. citizens that take advantage of that, and con these immigrants out of money in order to marry them?  That is still fraud.

 

On a different note:  anyone who commits the crime of bigamy almost always does so with criminal intent.  We need a better system of tracking down those that are multiple marrying folks.

 

A National Database of Marriages and Divorces will help. It will keep track and help the already overwhelmed marriage clerks in each of the over 3,000 counties make sure that when one is applying for a marriage license, they are not already married, and are really divorced.

 

Granted it may not always catch those savvy con artists like Barber, or Hicks, or Bish and McBride, or the numerous others that are mentioned on my site and others like http://www.fightbigamy.typepad.com

 

 

Please help us stop the flow of illegal immigrants from marrying US citizens for the sole purpose of gaining citizenship. They should be able to get the citizenship the way that some of our many ancestors gained legally.

 

Also this database will help con men and women be curtailed from taken advantage of those they choose as victims to fraud out of money, to lie and make up a new identity, and abuse the social security database by stealing identities.
