As of today, 2-6-08 The Petition for a National Database of Marriages and Divorces is only 279 signatures away before I start a mail in blitz to all of the congressional representatives including those at state level. Not all states see bigamy as a felony, and it is a shame that so many con artists take advantage of innocent people, and committ fraud.

 

PLEASE if you had been a victim, know a victim, and even heard stories on any of the talk shows, including: Dr. Phil, Montel, 60 Minutes you know that this is a fast growing crime. These people use fake identities, or social security numbers that are not theirs and marry other people. Sometimes being married to another person. Their game is to blame. They always blame the victim for the crimes they commit.  It is time to try to put a stop to this crime, it may not stop everyone, but it will stop quite a few it will make a difference.
