The Petition for a National database of Marriages and Divorces now has 1286 signatures! We are only 214 votes away for the petition to be sent to Congress!!!!! We are waiting on numerous victims of bigamists and con artists to fill out surveys and the data to be compiled before we send it to Congress. We have to  change  the way the law looks at 'sweetheart' scams.  These con men and women hurt not just one person. their lies perpetuate to their gains, and leaves so many victims behind.   I don't understand how on my blog some of the entries that I wrote were taken off, but know this: the petition will get sent to Congress and VICTIMS will be heard and not laughed at. Due to technical difficulties the petitiononline site is having difficulties, but please put the signature on the petition. I have to wait until they fix the site to approve the pending signatures. They have fixed the site, and I can once again approve or disapprove of the signatures.  We are not victims when we make our voices heard!!  We will get our voices heard.   Those that have done the survey for Dr. Lian and the Fight Bigamy Group, please make sure that  you return the surveys. It is important that we have data to back us up.  The laws will get changed quicker if Congress realizes that this is a very common and growing crime, and that a Database can help slow it or stop it from happening. If they tie this into the Social Security Database, just think....if someone is using a phony social security number that doesn't belong to him or to her.....how sweet the victory..:) Justice will be done.
